| This hard drive is a mess
and is performing at about 15% of the performance it could be achieving.
15,000 fragmented files and 500,000 plus fragments. Most user's hard
drives are in this sad state and they don't even know it. More important than the fragmentation is the files distribution scattered randomly all around the drive. This is impacting performance more than the fragmentation. To access files the hard drive heads need to travel the entire expanse of the drive. Slow!! |
